Digboi is famous as the oil-town of India and home to Asia’s first oil well. At the exact spot of this oil well, is now a quaint oil museum. Since there was a strong presence of British industrialization, the town still has a distinct flavor of the British times, seen in the many English-style bungalows that still remain.

You can also visit the Digboi War Cemetery, that has 200 graves of different Allied Forces personnel from UK, India, West Africa, Burma, Belgium, USA and Italy who sacrificed their lives during the 1939-1945 War.
