In the north of India, the Himalayas boast of some incredible scenery: stunning peaks, river valleys and meadows, among which nestle ancient temples, palaces and monasteries.

The varied altitudes support a staggering number of flora - orchids, rhododendrons, pines and fruit orchards. There are unique animals too (including the rare snow leopard), and the mountain streams make excellent fishing spots.
