Jispa is a pleasant little hamlet, 21 km north of Keylong. It has comfortable accommodation to break the extraordinary journey on the second highest motorable road in the world between Manali and Leh.

Lying between the green Alpine slopes of the Kullu valley and the dry, arid plateau of Ladakh, the mountainous landscapes around Jispa manage to get enough rain during the monsoon months to allow for extensive agriculture.
