Barli
Barli, like many other small towns, is still home to many traditional craftsmen who can be seen at work while one strolls along the narrow village roads.The recently, and charmingly restored, Barli Fort, which takes in guests, is located on the highest spot in the surrounding countryside. In the surrounding area, several smaller hillocks and fields make for interesting places to walk or even go on a light trek. The presence of a man-made lake attracts many resident and migratory birds.
Other than the village visit the other must-do activity is to look round the fort itself. If the owner, Anirudh Rathore, is present he is very happy to show guests round and explain the history of the fort.
